‘The Tempest’

Shakespeare's final and greatest triumph The Tempest is presented as a part of Chapterhouse Theatre Company's 2008-summer season of theatre in the gardens of the UK and Ireland. A play of romance and revenge on a magical island kingdom, where mischievous sprites play havoc with shipwrecked sailors and the most powerful exiled duke Prospero lives out his final exacting revenge. With the most magnificent verse in the English language combining comedy, romance and the most fantastic and fantastical characters of any play written, this promises to be one of the best entertainments of the summer.

“King Arthur & The Knights of The Round Table”

‘King Arthur and the Knights of the Round Table’ is a brand new production from Chapterhouse Theatre Company with a script especially commissioned from the world famous stories of Camelot, Arthur and Merlin. In the fantastical world of Medieval Knights, join a company of travelling players as they tell the heroic deeds of perhaps the greatest King of any time or place. From humble beginnings as a servant, to the drawing of the sword from the stone, through to the creation of Camelot. Join Arthur on his journey as his tale unfolds with sword, sorcery and song. A wonderful new production for families and children of all ages the show will be a vivacious, energetic re-telling of some of the great tales of heroics and romance set in the perfect surroundings at Castle Hill, Dungannon.
